Susan G. Ramsden founded Furniture Studio with the dream of starting a store that would fill the void of a local interior design outlet, offering true flair and style through unique home furnishings. Before opening Furniture Studio, Susan would often travel to Milwaukee and Appleton to find new ideas, and bring home styles that she loved.
A respected community member and a talented designer, Susan dedicated 20 years of her life to the home building industry, until she heard the dreaded words, "You have breast cancer". It was during this time that she began Furniture Studio. She was also raising teenagers and assisting her husband with several other businesses. Her daughter, Jaime, remembers attending furiture markets with her mom where she would purchase items that were a really good "buy" even though she was past the "budget". After the initial furniture purchase for the opening of Furniture Studio, Susan left the responsibility of the company to Jaime, who found anytime she could spend with her mom as valuable. Susan's battle with cancer lasted 6 years.
Jaime (Ramsden) White continues to manager Furniture Studio and strives everyday to create a store in which she hopes her mom would love to shop if she was still alive. Jaime loves seeing her customers have a home/room that they love, a place that fulfills the original tagline created by her mom, "creating an atmosphere you'll love".
